Ashley Ann, RN is an ICU nurse from the North Shore of Massachusetts. She is a graduate from a private nursing school in MA where she was also a captain of the Women's Soccer team. She is an avid reader and always enjoys being outside—long walks with her golden doodle, boating on the lake or ocean, skiing, traveling. Family and friends are everything to her. Ashley began journaling to deal with the trauma of working face-to-face with COVID. What began as a form of personal therapy sparked the desire to tell a fictional story of frontline nurses and the struggles they faced. All We Had is inspired by her lived experience. The struggle and raw emotion in this book tell of what it was like to be a nurse in 2020. Ashley is passionate about nurse advocacy and hopes that sharing this story will continue to highlight the importance of the nursing profession.
